Important: New 2021 Phishing Process for Failures to “Spot a Phish” Tests

Dear Colleagues,

Our business is data and protecting that data is of paramount importance. Since the majority of data breaches begin with a phishing email, our team regularly sends simulated phishing emails to all staff. Because phishing poses such a serious risk to our organization, beginning January 13, 2021, RSG is instituting a formal Phishing Simulation Counseling and Performance Management/Disciplinary Program.

What does this mean for me?
If you fail a phishing simulation, there will be progressive counseling and disciplinary actions for repeated failures within a six-month period. These actions include: mandatory training; notifications to management; notifications to leadership; and other actions up to, and including, termination (in accordance with local laws). Carefully review the program, to familiarize yourself with the outcomes of repeatedly falling for phishing simulations.

Please "Paws Before You Pounce" on every single email you receive — and memorize criminals' lures on our Don't Get Hooked infographic.

To assist you in not failing a simulation, we have put together a list of Phishing Simulation and Training FAQs. Feel free to contact us if you have questions not covered in the FAQs. We're here to help.

Kind regards,
