Welcome to the Corporate Responsibility Newsletter
Bringing news and info on our Cares, Living Well and Green programs direct to you

Over the past weeks we’ve been running Mental Health Awareness sessions for Line Managers across the whole of RSG. It’s been so interesting hearing people’s questions and reading their feedback, particularly on the issues surrounding empathy vs sympathy which seem to have hit a real chord with so many attendees.

After all, mental ill health is not something a lot of us talk about is it? I’ve been working now for over 40 years (if I count my very first Saturday job!), and for the vast majority of that time, mental health was never mentioned at all. But, like our physical health, ensuring we have good mental health is vital to our wellbeing, especially when there’s so much going on in the world at the moment – from full lockdown in the UK to the extreme weather events in the US.

The good news is that we’ll be rolling out the sessions to all employees in the coming weeks – watch out for the communications and please do take the opportunity to sign up. It’s just one hour and it could really help you to help others who are struggling.

Above all, take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Keep safe.
